Plates supported on elastic foundations are found in many civil engineering applications. The analysis requires a critical understanding between the plate element and the foundation. The objective of this study is to come up with a better, simple, and easy analytical method that could be used for the analysis of all-round simply supported plate on Winkler's elastic foundation. The scope of the work includes static analysis of an isotropic simply supported rectangular plate resting on an elastic foundation carrying a uniformly distributed load. In this paper, characteristic orthogonal polynomials (COPs) shape functions for all-round simply supported rectangular plate on an elastic foundation were formulated by using Galerkin variational Energy method. The COPs shape functions formulation had been carried out by direct integration of the governing differential equation of the plate with those of elastic foundation using the Winkler model for the elastic foundation. The results obtained are very close to the results obtained by earlier research works that used different methods.
Green tea is one of the most popular drinks consumed worldwide. Produced mainly in Asian countries from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, the potential health benefits have been widely studied. Recently, researchers have studied the ability of green tea to eradicate infectious agents and the ability to actually prevent infections. The important components in green tea that show antimicrobial properties are the catechins. The four main catechins that occur in green tea are (-)-epicatechin (EC), (-)-epicatechin-3-gallate (ECG), (-)-epigallocatechin (EGC), and (-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG). Of these catechins, EGCG and EGC are found in the highest amounts in green tea and has been the subject of most of the studies. These catechins have been shown to demonstrate a variety of antimicrobial properties, both to organisms affected and in mechanisms used. Consumption of green tea has been shown to distribute these compounds and/or their metabolites throughout the body, which allows for not only the possibility of treatment of infections but also the prevention of infections.

The negative effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on the growth potential of the economy, as it affects the health and educational sector serves as an inspiration for this paper to examine the effect of government expenditures on education and health on the economic growth of Nigeria. The study utilized data from the Central Bank of Nigeria statistical bulletin, World Development Indicators, and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). The dependent variable was gross domestic product, while the explanatory variables include gross fixed capital formation, labour force, and government expenditure on education, government expenditure on health, broad money supply, inflation rate, and exchange rate. The data were analysed using the Bounds test for cointegration and error correction mechanism to investigate both the short run and long run relationship. The Bounds test revealed the existence of a long run relationship between government expenditures on education and health and economic growth. Further, the error correction model revealed that both government expenditures on education and health exert positive and significant effect on economic growth both in the short run and in the long run. The coefficient of the error correction term (0.5833) indicates that 58.33% of the short run disequilibrium is corrected annually. The paper concludes by stating that Nigeria needs to invest massively on the education and health sector so as to make provisions for the necessary infrastructures that could be required for their smooth operations in this period of global pandemic and beyond.

This paper is the first to link both Tudor princes, changeling children and illegitimate sons of Queen Elizabeth I, Edward de Vere and Francis Bacon, to the Shakespeare plays. The author is also the first to discover a dramatic likeness in the countenance featured in the portraits of Edward de Vere and Shakespeare, which he shares in this paper. In addition, he found a dramatic likeness in the handwriting of four pages of original manuscript material from The Book of Thomas More and that of Francis Bacon, the editor and co-author of the Shakespeare works. In addition, this paper shares the discovery that there are four different spellings of the name William Shakespeare appearing on the title pages of the complete works, which suggests that there is a total of four different hands at work in the authoring of the plays. In addition, the 1623 Folio lists the authors name in all block capitals suggesting that the brand name is being used in the case of the collected works because a team is involved and not just a single author.

Acute emphysematous pyelonephritis is a necrotizing and suppurative infection of the renal parenchyma and perirenal tissue with in situ production of gas of bacterial origin. This is a rare disease, occurring preferentially in diabetics and its mortality is hight. Our study aims to highlight the clinical and paraclinical characteristics as well as the particularity of therapeutic management of this pathology. We analyzed the medical files of patients treated for treated in the Department of Urology A; of the CHU IBN SINA Rabat between 2005 and 2020. For each medical file we specified clinical, paraclinical and therapeutic characteristics as well as the evolution after treatment. The treatment of those patients can typically be divided into medical management, medical management plus endoscopic or percutaneous drainage, and emergency nephrectomy. Nevertheless, given that there are very few guidelines or treatment algorithms, there is no consensus on the mana- gement of patients with emphysematous pyelonephritis.

Policy makers aim at promoting sustainable economic growth by keeping population growth rate low but there has been a substantial debate on whether population promotes, harms or has no effect on economic growth. Motivated by the divergent views, this study aimed at examining the effects of population change in Kenya on GDP. Using Time-series data for the period 1963 - 2013, this research examined the co-integration relationship between GDP growth rates and total population, unit root was tested using Augmented Dickey-Fuller, Co-integration test using Johansen’s Multivariate test and Granger causality test conducted to show the causality between the variables. The findings showed that for a unit increase in total population, there is rise of 2.221% in GDP. Its recommended that the Government needs to further promote investment level so as to increase job opportunities to utilize the population of the country.
