Mixed ovarian tumors are rare. The association of a granulosa tumor with a
mucinous adenocarcinoma is exceptional and has never been reported to our
knowledge in the literature. We report the case of a 44 year old patient, who consulted
for an abdominal mass. The radiological explorations showed the presence of an
enormous ovarian tumor, after hysterectomy the diagnosis of mixed ovarian tumor
was made by histological and immunohistochemical study. The treatment is
essentially surgical.

The Large Intestine neoplasms are one of the most common neoplasms
encountered now a days. It consists of both colon and rectum malignancies. At present
it ranks second to bronchogenic carcinoma in most prevalent cancers. Globally
8,00,000 Colo-Rectal Cancer cases are believed to occur and mortality of this is
expected to be near 4,50,000. Overall incidence is 10% of all cancers. The present
study was undertaken to study neoplastic lesions in the large intestine for the period of
twenty-two months. The study consisted of total 65 cases out of which, 46 were
surgically resected specimen and 19 were biopsies. Majority of the cases were
Adenocarcinomas (61.5%), followed by Mucinous adenocarcinoma (24.6%). Most
common location of Colo-Rectal Cancer was rectum (47.7%) followed by sigmoid
colon (15.4%). Rare cases like Signet ring cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma,
Gastrointestinal stromal tumor and lymphoma were also found in the study.
Histopathological evaluation is the only confirmatory investigation for diagnosis of
such tumors. Present study emphasizes the need for early histopathological diagnosis
for appropriate treatment.

Elicitors are the synthetic or naturally occurring molecules, which capable
of trigger the plant defense mechanism against the plant pathogens and environmental
hazards. Plants deploy a number of defense mechanism against the phytopathogens
and elicitors can able to induce the production of secondary metabolites to facilitate
the biochemical defense mechanism, which eventually leads to plant resistance. Biotic
elicitors are the type of elicitors that have the biological origin and derived from the
pathogen or from the plant itself. To induce the plant resistant, initially biotic elicitors
need to go through with microbial-associated molecular patterns (MAMPs, also called
PAMPs). As well, the plants have evolved other receptors to detect the elicitors and
leads to gene mediate resistance mechanism against the pathogens. This review
discusses such biotic elicitors and their way to induce the disease resistance.

Phenytoin is an Anticonvulsant mainly acts by promoting Na+ efflux or decreases Na+ influx from membranes in motor cortex neurons; stabilizes the neuronal membrane. Slows conduction velocity.Indicated in Seizures. A child of 12 years old of female patient came to pediatrics department with chief complaints of seizures not associated with fever. Generalised tonic clonic activity with loss of consciousness for 10 min and admitted in pediatrics department-II and his treatment chart was phenytoin 100mg PO OD and valproic acid 200mg – 200 mg – 200 mg Po 2tablets TID. During his second day of treatment child developed fever of 1020F and cough and to reduce the condition physician prescribed paracetamol 500mg Po BD and syrup chlorpheneramine maleate 5ml Po BD and increased the phenytoin dose 100 mg 2 tablets OD. On the 12th day of treatment child was irritable with hyperactive behaviour. Better vigilance is necessary for implementation of safe and effective treatment for each individual patient.in order to prevent serious adverse drug reactions of this drug, close monitoring drug treatment course, creating awareness, recognition of the problem and careful management of all the patients who receive medication are essential, because use of phenytoin causes Drowsiness, Fatigue, Ataxia, Irritability, Headache, Restlessness, Slurred speech, Nervousness, Nystagmus, Dizziness, Vertigo, Dysarthria, Paresthesia, Rash, Pruritus, Gingival hyperplasia (pediatric patients), Ataxia, Paradoxical seizure, Drug withdrawal seizure, Diplopia, Psychosis (high dose), Toxic amblyopia, Encephalopathy, AV conduction disorder, Ventricular fibrillation, Nausea, Vomiting, Constipation, Diarrhea, Megaloblastic (folate-deficiency) anemia, Hypocalcemia, Hepatotoxicity, Hypertrichosis, Lymphadenopathy, Purple glove syndrome, Rash, Allergic reactions in the form of rash or, rarely, more serious forms (drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms, or DRESS) or anaphylaxis, Purpuric rash, Toxic epidermal necrolysis, Bullous dermatosis, Coarsening of facial features,Periarteritis nodosa,Immunoglobulin abnormalities, Altered taste sensation, including metallic taste, Peyronie disease

The effect of Pseudomonas syringae on morphological and antioxidant
enzyme of Lablab purpureus L. (Sweet) was studied. Jasmonic acid are important
endogenous chemical signals that play a key role in enhancing plant defense response
Pseudomonas syringae cultures were injected into the stem region of 15 days old
Lablab purpureus seedlings. Manual injection was found to be successful in inducing
brown spot of Pseudomonas syringae. Post treatment of JA given as foliar spray
resulted in enhance in the plant defense response. It was found that the level of
Peroxidase, Polyphenol oxidase, Catalase and SOD was affected to a level of 85%,
35%, 44% and 60% respectively. Post treatment of JA at 0.5 µM, 1 µM, 2 µM and 5
µM each for 3 days resulted in enhanced resistance to brown spot disease. JA caused
alleviation of responses induced by the pathogen in all aspects. Thus, JA treatment
was found out to be considerably beneficial in reducing symptoms protecting the
Lablab against the pathogen.

This study examines the influence of price on Customer Loyalty in the Retail Industry, using Shoprite Accra mall as a case study. The specific objectives are set to identify factors contributing to the attraction of customers to supermarkets, in a bid to determining the factors contributing to repeat visits of customers to supermarkets and to ascertain the influence of price on repeat visits of customers to supermarkets. As methodology, a descriptive research design was adopted. The data was collected from a sample size of 60 respondents with the aid of structured questionnaires. The findings indicate that price is the most essential element that attracts customers to Shoprite. Also customers confirmed that they always buy from Shoprite as a result of lower prices and continue to make repeat purchase for this same reason. The findings further revealed TV advertisement as the major type of advertisement that most influences customer’s buying behavior and that the major element they look out for in advertisement is price. From the findings, majority strongly agreed that price influences their decision to make repeat purchase and made it clear that Shoprite offers comparatively cheaper prices than competitors because their prices are not higher than what customers expect to pay. However, the findings indicated that location, branding and product line of Shoprite need improvement. The study recommends among others that management of Shoprite should not set prices without knowledge of market changes and differences between market segments. Also management should consider the role of price in consumer perceptions of products/ service quality and image. Furthermore, pricing objectives must be consistent with overall communication objectives of the firm as they relate to products/ services and their prices.

10.21276/sb.2018.4.11.1
This paper aimed at investigating the relationship between oil price and some macroeconomic indicators of Saudi Arabia. The co-integration test and VECM were applied to achieve the paper objective. The time series data from (1970-2016) were used. The data was tested for stationarity, and then the co-integration test and VECM were estimated. The results reveal that there is a long run relationship between oil prices and real GDP with weak short run interactions. The result showed that rising of oil prices are negatively correlated with real GDP in the long run. Rising of oil prices may lead to a lower demand for oil in the long run, which will negatively affect government revenue and real GDP growth. The short run results suggest a positive relation between oil prices and real GDP. Rising demand in the short run will increase returns from oil export for the exporting countries. The oil price shocks have significant impact on real GDP in Saudi Arabia. This means the economy of Saudi Arabia will become highly volatile if depends on oil revenue as a major source of income. Diversifying sources of income is highly required in this case.

In this study, changes in some enzymatic activities in different tuber parts of
"Florido" and "Bètè-bètè" cultivars belonging to Dioscorea alata species were
investigated during post-harvest storage. Indeed, the studied enzymatic activities were
those of acid phosphatase and pNP-glycosidases (α-glucosidase, α-fucosidase, α-
galactosidase, β-glucosidase and β-galactosidase, α-mannosidase) and
polysaccharidases (amylase, cellulase and inulinase). The results showed that the
different tuber parts of both cultivars contained acid phosphatase and α-mannosidase
activities. Besides, "Bètè-bètè" cultivar also possessed α-galactosidase. As for the
polysaccharidases activities, the different parts of both cultivars had amylase and
cellulase activities. Otherwise, the detected acid phosphatase, α-mannosidase and α-
galactosidase activities in yam tuber part decreased with the storage time while the
amylase and cellulase activities increased with the storage time. The enzymatic
activities were found to be high in the distal tuber part for both cultivars. This work
revealed that both cultivars didn’t contain α-glucosidase, α-fucosidase, α-galactosidase,
β-glucosidase, β-galactosidase and inulinase activities. Our results could constitute an
attractive biochemistry in the understanding of yams physiology during post-harvest
storage.

This work is achieved within the framework of research into didactic of chemistry. It highlights the impact of the teaching of chemistry, as it is currently practiced over the performance of the students at the university in DR Congo. Two Congolese universities were chosen: the "Université Pédagogique Nationale" (UPN) and the "Université de Kinshasa" (UNIKIN). The teaching-learning approach is considered as an experimental method with three independent variables namely modeling, the conceptualization and the theorization. The observations made one the process of teaching-training show that the student is not in the center of the process. The results of the test which followed these observations show that both modeling and the theorization are the most influential factors on the process of teaching-training in the two universities, while the conceptualization is an influential Factor only at UPN. The success frequencies are of 59.7% at UPN and 63.9 % at UNIKIN for students of the both universities, who are able to identify the symbolic level while responding the test. It is however a representing level of concepts, the one of creation of lower taxonomic level concepts of Bloom. Students then succeed more when recognition and understanding questions are given to them. The students’ success frequencies that are able to identify the macroscopic and microscopic while answering questions are of 5.6 % at UPN and 11.3 % at UNIKIN. It can be concluded that the macroscopic, microscopic and symbolic levels of knowledge in Chemistry are not reached by the UPN’s and UNIKIN’s students while learning notions of molecular mechanics. The teaching of molecular mechanics notions as applied nowadays at the higher education level does not facilitate the learning and the deep understanding in Chemistry.

Pregnancy is characterized by a great number of metabolic physiological
changes. The present study was designed to assess the levels of fasting blood sugar
(FBS), hemoglobin (Hb), proteinuria, systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood
pressure (DBP) in pregnant women in Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria. A total of 100
participants aged between 18 and 36 (22.5±3.5) years were randomly recruited for the
study. The participants were grouped as follows: 50 pregnant women and 50 non
pregnant women. Thereafter, 5mls each of blood samples were collected from the
participants into fluoride oxalate and EDTA containers for the determination of fasting
blood sugar and hemoglobin levels respectively using standard method. Urine samples
were also collected for urinalysis while the SBP and DBP of the subjects was measured
using sphygmomanometer. The result showed that the mean FBS level was significantly
lower in pregnant women compared to the control group (p<0.05), while proteinuria,
SBP, and DBP were significantly higher in pregnant women than in control (p<0.05)
respectively. However, the mean Hb level were similar between both groups (p>0.05).
Also, FBS level was significantly lower while proteinuria, SBP and DBP were
significantly higher in pregnant women with 6months of pregnancy than those with
5months of pregnancy respectively (p<0.05). Therefore, the implication of this finding is
that the pregnant women had neither gestational diabetes mellitus nor anemia rather preeclampsia was predominant among the study population.

Comparative evaluation of wettability of 3 different root canal sealers on
dentin. 30 dentin blocks were prepared from single rooted maxillary anterior teeth.
After storage and adequate cleaning protocol, they were surface treated with 17%
EDTA (Glyde File Prep, Dentsply Maillefer, Ballaigues, Switzerland) Prime Dental
Products) for 5 minutes. Following this, they were divided into 3 groups (n=10) for:
Group I: AH Plus, Group II: Endo Sequence BC Sealer, Group III: MTA Fillapex.
Controlled volume of each sealer was placed onto the dentin blocks using a
customized wire loop. The contact angle in each case was measured using Dataphysics
OCA Easydrop software on a dynamic contact angle analyzer for 1 minute. Readings
will be analysed with suitable statistical tests. The contact angle values for AH Plus
sealer were significantly lower when compared to the other two sealer groups. The
wettability of AH Plus sealer on the root surface dentin was found to be better than
Endosequence BC Sealer and Endoseal MTA.
