It is stating the obvious that China is having what it deems as a „peaceful rise‟ in the global arena. Many scholars believe
that the most important dimension of China's Rise in recent years is in its economic front, and that China's foreign policy
trend indicates some economic programs encouraging the country to enter the Middle East. During the recent decade,
energy security has been significantly important for China and has become her main priority concerning the Middle East
and Iran is one of its leading allies in this regard. This paper examines the role of energy in Iran-China relations. Its main
argument is that energy and its secure supply is a determining factor in China's policy for developing relations with Iran.
Qualitatively driven and relying on the secondary sources of data, the paper uncovers that because of a lack of internal oil
resources, China has adopted a policy of getting energy supply from external resources and for such supplies, Chinese
leaders have always had an eye on Iran. It equally discovered that following the sanctions imposed on Iran, China could
particularly pay for energy imports from Iran through barter, hence expanding its exports to Iran. The paper concludes
that energy security is significant in relations between countries and that it remains at the center of Iran-China ties
sanctions notwithstanding.

It is assumed that thematic progression (TP) patterns are correlated with genres including narration, exposition,
description and argumentation. In order to figure out the distributions of TP patterns in narration and exposition, the
present study conducts a comparative study. It adopts four TP patterns: continuous pattern, TP with continuous Theme,
TP with continuous Rheme and alternative pattern. Two texts are chosen randomly from New Horizon English Course
(Reading and Writing) [1], a textbook for non-English majors in China, as representatives of narrative and expository
writings. This paper can be divided into five parts. First, this paper presents the background of this study. Then it
introduces the theoretical framework involving thematic structure and different thematic progression patterns. As the
main body, the third part focuses on the quantitative comparative analysis of distributions of TP patterns in the two
genres. The fourth part is results and discussion and the final part is conclusion. The result shows that though both genres
incline to utilize TP with continuous Theme and continuous pattern, narration prefers TP with continuous Rheme while
exposition tends to utilize more alternative pattern. This paper testifies the statement that there exist differences between
distributions of TP pattern in narrative and expository writing. It also attempts to provide enlightenments for guiding the
teachers to help improve students’ reading and writing abilities.

10.21276/sjhss.2019.4.6.7
One of the goals of legal development is to provide fair legal certainty and balance reflected in the outcome of the Judge's
decision which constitutes a series of proceedings from investigation to socialization. But until now the point is not yet
reached. Therefore, in order to understand the context, in this paper, it is conducted by using a socio-legal approach with
an empirical juridical approach. In the concept of a lawful state, the principle of equality before of Law which means the
equality of position within the law becomes absolute. Internationally the equality of position in law is also governed by
international treaties. The equality of position in law should be adopted by all UN members and it must also be balanced
between perpetrators, victims and communities. Therefore, the rights of the victims must also be considered and given.
That is why the goal of justice is based on the principle of balance that is a national goal in addition to social defence, and
social welfare. In the positive law in Indonesia, the rules of protection of the victims have been set, but that is still
specific to each rule. Thus, it still requires a further process, not, or yet to be decided in a judicial process. Islam has also
arranged how to provide guarantees to victims. However, of course, it must fulfil the requirements in accordance with the
provisions in the Qur'an, and the Prophet Muhammad's Hadith. Therefore, it is necessary to have legal constructs in
judicial process fairly; following the development of science; until it can understand the method of interpretation; see the
specifics of things; the judge must be active by evaluating the social and cultural condition of the perpetrator and the
victim with a balanced explanation or balanced treatment between the perpetrator and the victim. For that, it is necessary
to reconstruct the law to obtain a clear criminal stelsel rule that can be used as a benchmark for criminal and criminal
proceedings. Thus, what is expected can be fulfilled by the criminal process and righteous judgment with orientation on
the basis of the balance.

10.21276/jaep.2019.3.6.1
In addition to subject matter skills, today’s college students need reasoning, problem-solving and thinking skills.
Therefore, faculty need to understand the importance of those skills for students and themselves. As U.S. faculty engage
in working with counterparts in foreign institutions to enhance curricula, teaching, and student learning, knowing more
about faculty critical thinking styles should lead to more relevant professional development in international university
settings. This project utilized the Critical Thinking Inventory (CTI) to ascertain the critical thinking styles of male and
female faculty at King Saud University in Saudi Arabia during five, six-hour intensive workshops on teaching and
learning. The CTI is a validated measure of CT style. The 20-item inventory was administered, and results were analyzed
for separate groups, male and female, which is common in the Kingdom. Higher CTI scores indicate a “seeking
information” style and lower scores indicate an “engagement” style. Female KSU faculty indicated on average a slight
tendency toward the seeking style. Individually, 14 of the 22 females indicated a seeking style and 8 indicated an
engaging style of critical thinking. On average, male KSU faculty indicated a slight tendency toward the engaging style,
with 21 of the 39 males indicating the engaging style and the remaining18 indicating the seeking critical thinking style.
As U.S. faculty engage in international programs, faculty Critical Thinking styles can be used to inform activities.
Administering the CTI to students would also provide insight into student learning needs. Likewise, a better
understanding of CT style for international faculty and students in the U.S. could enhance their teaching and learning.

Vyayam (exercise) has been an important part of the ayurvedic routine for thousands of years. Our Ancient Scholars have
given much emphasis on it because vyayam has much benefits on mind and body. Nowadays, people are suffering from
many diseases such as obesity, Diabetes mellitus, Cardiovascular disease, various joint diseases and diseases due to
ageing etc. The cause of these diseases is found to occur due to lack of proper exercise. Exercise in proper way, enhances
firmness, endurance in the body and increases ability to do work. It pacifies all three doshas and creates balance in them
when conducted as per prakriti (constitution),age of the person and season. Vata types need less exercise, so lighter
activities such as walking are best. Pitta types need moderate amounts such as swimming for example and Kapha types
need more intense exercise, such as jogging and aerobics, in order to stay in balance. Regarding season, if one wants to
increase exercise, winter and spring are the best times. In hot weather, one needs to decrease exertion and stay out of the
hot sun. As for age, children have more capacity for exercise and older people need less, although daily exercise is
essential at any age Exercise enhances the digestion, and if done properly, it dissolves impurities in the tissues. It
enhances immunity, eliminates fatigue, stops early aging, and retards weight gain and can thus improve one’s quality of
life.

Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a major public health concern in sub-Saharan Africa. Opportunistic diseases cause substantial morbidity and mortality to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected patients. HIV-HBV co-infection is common we report the case of an association of cerebral toxoplasmosis with mediastinal lymph node tuberculosis in a patient with HIV-HBV co-infection. The diagnosis of this extra-pulmonary tuberculosis and cerebral toxoplasmosis was presumptive and was made probable by the test therapies that were effective. Concomitant treatment of these two opportunistic infections with antiretroviral therapy resulted in severe drug hepatitis that was probably favored by hepatitis B that HIV infection would have worsened. The choice of effective and less toxic antiretroviral triple therapy was difficult in the absence of recommendations for such combinations.

Bay of Algiers is situated at the heart of the Algerian capital, where the population density and urban important, and
many factories and commercial activities, making it vulnerable to pollution, especially along the coast, in addition to
climate change that result on the planet, all this lead us to study the impact on the coast of the Bay of Algiers, and its
exposure to risks of erosion and marine intrusion. The aim of this work is the perception of vulnerable coastal areas, by
determining the Coastal Vulnerability Index (CVI) at the level of the bay of Algiers, through reliance on physical factors.
Through the Geographic Information System (GIS), we can process and analyze the information, and propose technical
solutions to protect and manage the coastal, especially the sensitive areas near river mouths, a place of exchange and

Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) is a demyelinating condition secondary to lytic infection of oligodendrocytes by JC papovavirus occurring in the context of immunodeficiency. Its aggravation after initiation of antiretroviral therapy is part of the immune restoration syndrome (IRS), often fatal if not adequately managed. We report a clinical observation highlighting the dual role of MRI on the one hand in the diagnosis of PML; allowing the discovery of an HIV infection in our case; and other parts in the follow-up of this pathology which can be complicated by a life-threatening IRS. Cerebral MRI is the main imaging medium for the presumptive diagnosis of PML. In MRI, MRI can be used to assess worsening of lesions by increasing their size as well as by the presence of a contrast enhancement after gadolinium injection indicating inflammation. Thus the use of cerebral MRI in a fragile field such as HIV should be performed periodically even in the absence of suggestive clinical signs, to ensure early diagnosis and adequate management and therefore a better prognosis
