Water resources are a favorable guarantee for the economic and social development of a region. Utilization efficiency of
water resources is of great significance for formulating rational water resources strategy. In this paper, a gray target
model is weighted by the synthesized integration weight method which combines the order relation and the entropy
weight. Through the construction of evaluation index system for sustainable utilization of regional water resources, the
comprehensive evaluation of water resources utilization in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region in 2016 was carried out. The
results show that: (1) the water consumption structure of Beijing and Tianjin is relatively balanced, while Hebei Province
shows typical characteristics of agricultural cities. The agricultural water footprint accounts for more than 90% of the
total water footprint, followed by residential water, industrial water and ecological water. (2) In 2016, the total water
footprint of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region showed a distribution pattern with Beijing as the center, surrounded by all
sides, and the distribution pattern of the center was high and low. The sustainable utilization level of water resources
concentrates on the middle and poor grades, and there is still room for improvement.

Background: The quality and discrimination of sound depends on the shape of the pinna. The auricle exhibits wide variations particularly in its shape and the rolling of helix to such an extent that right and left ears of an individual differ. Aim: To determine different shapes of the external ear and the degree of concavity of helix. Materials and methods: 90 dental students participated in the study after an informed consent. The external ears of both sides were observed for variations in the shape and rolling of helix. The results were tabulated and compared with other studies. Results: Oval shaped external ears were the most common forms observed, 58.33% in males and 58.97% in females. The values were compared with other studies and the decreasing order of frequency of ear shapes was oval, triangular, round and rectangular. The concavity of helix was studied. 66.66% males and 60.25% females possessed normal helix followed by wide helix covering scapha, flat helix and concave marginal helix in that order in males but females possessed concave marginal helix in more numbers as compared to wide helix covering scapha. Conclusion: The four different shapes of the external ear were oval, triangular, round and rectangular in the decreasing order of frequency. Oval shape is the most common as correlated with other studies. Four varieties of rolling of helix were observed -normal rolling, wide concavity covering scapha, flat helix and marginal concavity helix. The order of frequency showed gender variation.

This paper utilizes weak-form variational principle to determine the nonlinear natural frequencies of highly clamped
rectangular isotropic plates. The energy functional was formulated using weak-form variational statement on the integral
function of the plate problem. The displacement functions were developed based on static deflections of orthogonal beam
network. The algebraic expression for stress function was determined using direct integration process on compatibility
equation. The amplitude of deflection which influences the geometric nonlinearity of the plate was determined using
integration process on energy functional based on static equilibrium equations. The stiffness and mass matrices were
developed from the expressions of energy functional based on dynamic equilibrium equations. The nonlinear natural
frequencies were numerically computed. The validation of the results using the results from previous work found in
literature shows satisfactory convergence, with an error of 0.034%. Conclusively, weak-form variational principle gives
satisfactory approximation to nonlinear vibration analysis of rectangular isotropic plates.

Choriocarcinoma is a malignant proliferation of the trophoblastic epithelium, not including chorionic villi but permanent vascular invasion. It is a rare tumor, most often of gestational origin, occurring in 75% of cases after a molar pregnancy. Choriocarcinoma in postmenopausal period is very rare however some cases of choriocarcinoma developing after a long latency period from the last pregnancy have been reported. We report an original case of a postmenopausal woman with non-gestational endometrial choriocarcinoma occurring 14 years after menopause. There are no well-defined guidelines for the treatment of postmenopausal choriocarcinomas. Their prognosis is very unfortunate, yet it has changed completely, from 19% to 90% survival since the onset of chemotherapy

This study was designed to determine the effect of feeding varying concentration of probiotics on growth performance in
broiler chickens. A total of 81 day-old broiler chicks were used for this experiment, they were divided into three groups
of 27 chicks each (n=27). Group A: No probiotics was administered and served as the control, Group B: birds were
administered probiotics in feed at an inclusion rate of 0.5g/kg of feed, Group C: birds were administered probiotics in
feed at an inclusion rate of 1g/kg of feed. Weekly weight gain and feed conversion ratio of each group of chickens was
recorded for the six weeks experimental period. There was statistical significant difference (P≤0.05) in the weight gain
and feed conversion ratio between the two experimental groups of birds (Groups B and C) fed probiotics and Group A
(control) from the forth week to the end of the experiment. Groups B and C chickens had higher live weight and lower
feed conversion ratio than group A chickens at the end of the experiment. However, there was no statistical significant
difference (P≥0.05) in both the live weight and feed conversion ratio between groups B and C, fed different
concentrations of probiotics. In conclusion, the use of probiotics supplemented in feed resulted in a significant increase in
live weight and a lower feed conversion ratio in broiler chickens. It was therefore recommended that broiler chickens
should be administered probiotics to help in weight gain and invariably maximize profit.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa persists as a dreaded organism causing increased mortality both in developing and
industrialized countries. Published literature elaborates novel rapid molecular diagnostics and strategies for discovering
newer antibiotics for this highly resistant organism. It is also an established fact that the primary focus of infection
remains unknown in majority of the cases. Unfortunately there exists a paucity of data from outpatient clinics and standalone referral laboratories. Such a system of health care delivery is common in many parts of the world including United
Arab Emirates. This article enlists two pediatric clinical cases which elucidate early Pseudomonas diagnosis in the
community leading to prompt treatment and recuperation. The role played by referral diagnostic laboratories needs to be
discussed in the context of existing guidelines, local epidemiology and healthcare practices. We would like to add a
microbiologist’s perspective and emphasize on prompt identification and susceptibility pattern, in a community setting by
referral diagnostic laboratories. The relevance of whether a bacteria is pathogenic/colonizer/contaminant need to be
understood with clarity which will be helpful during the evolution of the newer guidelines. This article also elaborates on
the effective communication between clinicians and laboratory which is the invaluable for any robust health care system.

Page no Sch Bull, 2019; 5(8): 477-486 |
10.21276/sb.2019.5.8.10
The comparative advantage theory still remains one of the most applicable theories in international trade. Through international trade, countries have recorded increased economic growth and welfare through the flow of imports and exports. However, this flow of trade has not been without challenges resulting in governments implementing trade controls. It has, however, been argued that such controls will constrain growth due to lack of flow of technology and capital. This study was, therefore, aimed at investigating the causal relationship between import and economic growth using trade liberalization as a dummy variable. Using time series data from 1970 to 2015 and Johansen Cointegration, the study found the variables to be cointegrated. The Granger Causality test found unidirectional causality from imports to economic growth and from trade liberalization to imports. The study concluded that the Import-Led Growth model is vital to Zambia’s economic growth as the country is still in its infancy.

Medicinal plants have played a key role in world health. Plants and their products have been used since time immemorial
as principal ingredients of various traditional medicines. It has been the mainstay of many traditional cultures for their
low cost and wide accessibility in addition to their preventive and therapeutic value. The aim of this research was to
evaluate the antioxidant and antibacterial activity of T. catappa methanolic leaf extract and its fractions. The antioxidant
activity was determined using DPPH radical scavenging activity using varied concentrations (31.25-500µg/ml) of
different extracts and fractions then 100µl of purified water at absorbance of 515nm using ELISA plate reader. Ascorbic
acid was used as a standard. The antibacterial activity was evaluated by determining the MIC and MBC of different
fractions at different concentration. The results of the study indicated the presence of major phyto-compounds like
alkaloids, steroids, phenolics and saponins. It also showed that the ethyl acetate and n-butanol fractions of the leaf of T.
Catappa possess the highest significant scavenging activity against DPPH• (64.02% at 250μg/ml and 62.43% at 500
μg/ml respectively). Moreover, total phenolics concentration equivalent to gallic acid was found to be up to 70 mg/g for
the ethyl acetate fraction, which correlated with antioxidant activity. The result of the antibacterial study showed
evidence that, the methanol leaf extract of T. Catappa possess antibacterial activity and N. butanol portion has the highest
activity. In conclusion this study showed that the methanol extract and fractions of the leaf of T. Catappa have
demonstrated significant antioxidant and antibacterial activities but further study is recommended to ascertain the
compounds responsible for their antioxidant activity.
