Background: Malnutrition is a general term and often refers to under nutrition resulting from inadequate consumption, poor absorption, or excessive loss of nutrients, but the term also encompasses over nutrition. Aim of the Study: Aim of the study was to find out the clinical profile and major co-morbidities among hospitalized children with severe acute malnutrition at a tertiary care hospital. Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted in the Department of Pediatrics, Khulna Medical College and Hospital, Khulna, Bangladesh, over one year from January 2019 to December 2019. Result: A total of 1810 children were enrolled and analyzed in this study. Table 1 shows the baseline data of our study. Most 59.67% of patients were from the age group 1-12 months, 588(32.49%) patients were from the age group 13-24 months, and 142(7.85%) patients were from the age group 25-59 months. Conclusion: Determinants of severe malnutrition include faulty feeding practices, ignorance about nutritional needs, repeated infections, large family size, and low socioeconomic status. The weight-height ratio is one of the best among the criteria for identifying SAM, and hence, every child should be screened adequately on presentation.

A Legal Prespective of Right to Nationality and Protection to Stateless Persons in International Law
Dr. K. Sangeetha
Page no 417-422 |
10.36348/sijlcj.2019.v02i12.002
Statelessness is the absence of the right to have a legal connection between Nationality and State. The State of Nationality is an identity to enjoy a ‘right to have rights’. Statelessness disrupts the enjoyment of all the rights which are generally perceived or purported to have been granted for all including inter alia the right to work, the right to vote, the right to health, the right to welfare benefits or welfare and a child’s right to education. Statelessness precludes people from relocating and increases their chances of arbitrary arrest, confinement or detention with no adequate answers. In short, Statelessness demotes and generates a state of irrelevance among the people with no hope of their condition ever improving, no possibility for a better future for themselves or their posterity. The state of Statelessness dismantles the idea of cohesive human existence in a civilized world. Therefore, Statelessness is a deprivation of a range of rights and benefits that bestow upon individuals Constitutional identity, National security and State protection popularly known as Nationality or Citizenship. Statelessness may be imputed to a catena of causes including Administrative practices, Conflict of Laws, Discrimination, Denationalization, Matrimonial litigation, Non-registration of births, Persecution, Renunciation, Transfer of territories, Re-demarcation of new boundaries, State succession, Terrorism, Climate change and forced displacement and Migration. But its magnitude and scale still remain to be mapped because the problem of Statelessness is a new predicament for International Law and its offshoots. It has emerged as an ordeal for the International Community that has to attend to the plight of 10 million Stateless persons Worldwide. United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees’ (UNHCR) mandate is well founded in light of the sheer amount of Stateless persons. Furthermore, there are also at least 1.5 million stateless refugees and around 3.5 million Stateles

The proliferation of slum residential areas in cities in Sub Saharan Africa adversely affects the inhabitants through overcrowding and congestion, sub-standard housing development, disease prevalence, inadequate socio-economic infrastructures such as potable water supply, hygiene and sanitation facilities, wastes disposal schemes and drainage channels, the prevalence of crime and violence and environmental hazards such as floods and landslides. In Cameroon, slums continue to appear in cities and towns because of poor urban governance which fails to ensure effective and comprehensive city management strategy in order to prevent new slum neighbourhoods from emerging in the urban landscape and make existing ones more livable and sustainable. This study makes an appraisal of slum upgrading in Cameroonian cities and proffers a twin-track planning solution that will ensure an effective and comprehensive city management for urban sustainability. To do this, on-the-spot appraisals, field surveys and participatory appraisals were undertaken with individual slum households, quarter heads, municipal authorities, CIGs and NGOs working with slum dwellers and government ministries in charge with urban development for a period of twelve months. Analysis was done using descriptive techniques. Findings showed that the Participatory Slum Upgrading Programmes (PSUP) launched in 2008 and implemented by UN-Habitat which aims to improve the living conditions of slum dwellers is the current slum upgrading approach used in Cameroon. But an appraisal of the problems plaguing this approach shows that much still need to be done to assure adequate and decent affordable housing. Tenure security, financial difficulties, displacement/forced evictions, coordination of actors, follow-ups, determination of slum sites and their full coverage, the non-respect of building/construction norms during resettlement, trivial help from international donors, lack of technical expertise, government neglect and

Introduction: Breast cancer in women, and especially in young women, represents a real public health issue given its frequency and severity. The objective of our study is to specify the epidemiological profile; anatomo-clinical; therapy and prognosis of breast cancer in young women. Methods: Descriptive retrospective study spread over a period of 5 years (2013-2017), collecting all the patients followed for breast cancer aged 40 years or less, within the cancer department of CHU Med VI in Marrakech. Results: The average age was 34.2 years (19-40 years). The average age at puberty was 12 years old (9 and 16 years old). Nulliparity was noted in 22% of the cases. Clinically, the T classification in the cases specified was: T1 (n = 48), T2 (n = 128), T3 (n = 52), T4 (n = 42). Clinical lymph node involvement was found in 44% of the cases. Histologically, infiltrating ductal carcinoma was the most common (n = 283). SBR II grade was the most frequent with a rate of 66%, Thirty Fifty percent of all patients had an over-expression of HER2 , Sixty-three percent had lymph node invasion, including 42% with capsular rupture and 31% of patients were metastatic in appearance. Therapeutically, fifty patients had neo-adjuvant chemotherapy. The surgery was conservative in 66% of the cases. Adjuvant chemotherapy was sequential in 61% of the cases. 180 patients had adjuvant radiation therapy. Of the 96 patients with HER2 over expression, 82 received treatment with trastuzumab. Hormone therapy was prescribed in 156 patients or 49% of cases with expression of hormone receptors. In our series, the median follow-up was 8.1 months. The course was marked by a locoregional relapse in fifty-eight patients, and a metastatic relapse in sixty patients. Conclusion: Since screening in our country does not include young women, it would be interesting to reconsider its indications, especially given the growing frequency of this cancer in young women as well as its poor prognosis.

Aim of the study was to find out the role of biochemical markers in diagnosis of alcoholic liver disease and non-alcoholic liver disease and compared these values with healthy subjects of Rajasthan. Total 300 subjects were selected in which 200 were selected as patients group (alcoholic liver disease (ALD) and non-alcoholic liver disease (NALD) group) and 100 were normal healthy subjects. Total 100 alcoholic liver disease patients in which 91 patients were male and 09 patients were female. In non- alcoholic liver disease group 55 males and 45 females are enrolled. Patients were distributed age wise. Serum cholinesterase and serum 5-nucleotidase were estimated by commercially available kit on spectrophotometer. Serum cholinesterase level is 2822.99± 716.51 in ALD patients. In NALD patients, serum cholinesterase level was 4299.95±1014.76 and in control group mean serum cholinesterase level was 6303.99±977.59. P-value was statically highly significant. (P≤ 0.0001), as well as serum 5-nucleotidase level was 25.89± 5.77 and 17.70± 4.43 in ALD and NALD respectively. In control group mean level of serum 5-nucleotidase was 9.851± 3.24. (P≤ 0.0001). We conclude that serum cholinesterase level was decreased in both disease group, whereas serum 5-nucleotidase level is increased in both disease groups. Both parameters are liver specific and specific test for alcohol induced or alcoholic liver disease as well as in non-alcoholic liver disease. Both parameters can be used as a marker of liver disease. it was concluded that serum cholinesterase and 5' -nucleotidase are better diagnostic marker then the conventional liver function test that are raised in other liver disease also.

The aim of the company to register its shares in the stock exchange is to get additional funds from investors so that the business continues to grow. The company's financial performance is a factor that is highly considered by investors, but what if the information is not quality based on the audit results from the auditor? This study aims to determine investor reactions to financial performance information and audit quality. The uniqueness of this research is the 2x2 method between financial performance and quality audit so that this study can produce information about how 1) investor reaction to high financial performance with high audit quality, 2) investor reaction to high financial performance but low audit quality, 3) investor reaction to low financial performance with high audit quality, 4) investor reaction to low financial performance with low audit quality. The results showed that investors only react to high financial performance but low audit quality with negative react, it shows that investors are concerned about audit procedures in assessing the company's financial performance. High company performance but has a low audit quality makes investors pay more attention to the company because the good value is actually considered to be detrimental to investors because of its doubtful quality.
