The aim of this analysis is to compare and contrast the numerous categories of preformed crowns that can be used to restore the primary teeth in children. Historically, preformed crowns have been widely available for the past 50 years. The clinical performance of preformed crowns has evolved to meet higher functional, mechanical, and aesthetic demands. Preformed crowns are available in a range of prefabricated sizes and shapes. Preformed crowns can vary depending on their properties, compounds, methods of preparation and biocompatibility.

Infection prevention must be a top concern in all dental settings, regardless of the level of care offered, and all settings must be set up to follow standard precautions and other infection prevention guidelines. This study's objective was to evaluate dental assistants' knowledge with infection control guidelines. In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a cross-sectional survey of female dental assistants was carried out. To collect information on knowledge of infection control, a 27-question survey was given out from January to March 2023. Comparisons that were both descriptive and statistical were made. The sample for the study included 125 female dental assistants. Among participants, correctly knew the essentials of infection control scored 88%. The percentage of correct responses for the understanding of personal protective equipment (PPE) was high (97%). The least amount of knowledge (82%) was possessed about sterilizing dental equipment. No statistically significant differences were found between any of the comparisons. With limitations, we concluded from the study that, with an overall score of 88%, the participants were knowledgeable on ways to decrease infection in dental clinics. Promoting infection control practices, risk awareness education, and initiatives that encourage the adoption of all precautions should be prioritized. Dental assistants need to have more information given how crucial infection control is to their field of work.

Introduction: Composite resins can be effectively recycled to progress the patient's esthetics concluded minimally invasive, low cost and high clinical presentation managements. The layering techniques of composite resins in different thicknesses, with varying grades of opacity and translucency, permit to create esthetic restorations with dental structures physical appearance. Aim: The intention of the training was to appraise the characteristics, values and approaches of stratification of resins composite materials and to demonstrate these approaches with clinical cases. Materials and method: An electronic search of scientific articles referring to the stratification of composite materials was done using a single medical database. The attention on the choice of keywords as well as the presence and elimination criteria were the directorial elements of the research. All articles were included after the title, the abstract and finally, the full text was checked. Only relevant research has been reviewed. Based on the results, several methods of stratifications have been used in clinical practice. Results and discussion: The concept of natural stratification, anatomical stratification, the stratification of the anterior teeth using a dentine hue and a predefined thickness of enamel, or a single layer of material and the correct placement of pigments and opacities, lead to the achievement of esthetic and predictable direct restorations of nanocomposite resins. Conclusions: Within the limit of this study, it is concluded that, to achieve aesthetic excellence, dentists should understand and apply artistic and scientific principles when layering materials, respecting the optical properties of natural dental structures.

This case report describes the management of endo-perio lesion. A 40 year old patient reported with pain and discolored tooth with history of road traffic accident a year ago. Intraoral examination of tooth 11 revealed the presence of restorative material and a sinus tract opening with probing depth of 6mm. Following full mouth scaling, access opening and biomechanical preparation was done during which intra-canal irrigant was seen oozing through the sulcus of tooth 11. Multiple RVGs were taken as there was difficulty in negotiating the canal which suggested the presence of communication. Surgical intervention was carried out were root perforation was noted. Canal was negotiated and perforation was repaired using biodentine. Collagen membrane was placed as a barrier. Patient was recalled after 2 weeks, 1 month and at 3months. At the end of three months there was complete reduction in probing depth with satisfactory soft tissue healing. Proper diagnosis of the endo-perio lesion is the key to success. The multidisciplinary approach with accurate diagnosis contributed to the favorable therapeutic outcome.
