Since nursing leadership is acknowledged as a critical determinant of health care outcomes, this study assesses job burnout, embracing emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment, as well as overall job engagement among leaders in the nursing field. Notably, the study proposes to compare the nurse leaders’ well-being by evaluating job burnout as occupational exhaustion (OE), depersonalization/loss of empathy (DP), and personal accomplishment assessment (PA) indices of work-related well-being in Prince Sultan Military Medical City in Riyadh. The cross-sectional design of the work includes 177 participants being nurse leaders, with the help of instruments such as the Maslach Burnout Inventory and the Work Engagement Scale. Studies show that 53.7% of the respondents had moderate job burnout, and 24.9 % had high job burnout. Consequently, 49.7% of the nurse leaders described moderate work engagement and 35.0% strong. The co-relational analysis depicts an insignificant negative coefficient between job burnout and work engagement. However, the evidence of the study revealed that age and work experience have positive and direct effects on job burnout and that age, work experience, and marital status have positive indirect effects on work engagement. This paper underscores the importance of preventing and mitigating burnout among nurse leaders to improve the well-being of the workers with the view of increasing patient outcomes amid enduring workforce scarcity in healthcare. Potential strategies to enhance the role resources for promoting the adaptive functioning of nurse leaders at work are examined.
Cervical cancer remains a global health challenge, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Despite advancements in prevention and treatment, limited HPV vaccine coverage hampers cervical cancer elimination efforts. The HPV vaccine, recommended since 2006, has shown high efficacy, preventing up to 90% of HPV-related cancers. Recent innovations, such as single-dose vaccines, aim to enhance accessibility and affordability. This review highlights advancements in HPV vaccination strategies, focusing on equitable access, vaccine efficacy, and the path toward achieving the World Health Organization’s goal of cervical cancer elimination.
Menopause marks a significant transition in a woman's life, characterized by the cessation of menstruation and reproductive capabilities. This review examines post-menopausal quality of life (QoL) indicators across physical, psychological, sexual, and social dimensions. Challenges such as vasomotor symptoms, mood fluctuations, and sexual dysfunction are prevalent. However, interventions including lifestyle changes, healthcare support, and psychosocial strategies can enhance the overall experience of post-menopausal women. Understanding these determinants is critical for healthcare professionals to meet women's needs and improve outcomes during this phase.

The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of malaria in children aged between 06 and 59 months in the Bougairé health center in Bongor, Chad. It was a cross-sectional, prospective study running from 1 March to August 2023. The children selected were all given a complete physical examination by the doctors or interns on the ward. A thick blood sample or rapid diagnostic test (RDT) was performed in the laboratory on admission to confirm the diagnosis. Microscopic diagnosis of Plasmodium was carried out using a light microscope under an oil immersion system with an x100 objective; this was recorded in each patient's file. During this study, 813 patients were consulted, of whom 328 cases of malaria were diagnosed on the basis of clinical and biological arguments. Malaria cases accounted for 40.34% of consultations, including 153 cases of uncomplicated malaria (46.7%) and 175 cases of severe malaria (53.3%). The 36-59 month age group was the most represented (50.3%), with males predominating (52.0%). Most of the children's parents did not attend school (87.8%). Mothers were housewives (89.9%), while fathers were mainly farmers (67.0%) and followed by shepherds (10.0%). Fever (99.6%), vomiting (59.9%) and abdominal pain (36.0%) were the most frequent reasons for consultation among the children in the study. The study revealed that the most commonly used antimalarial drug was Artemether injection, which accounted for 57.9% of cases. This was followed by artemisinin-based combination therapy, ACT (27.4%), and injectable artesunate with ACT relay (8.2%). Quinine infusion with CTA relay was the least used drug in the study (6.4%). Management complied with national malaria control guidelines in 43.7% of cases. These results justify the continuing training of health workers at the Bougaire Health Center to comply with national ...
Sepsis is a life-threatening condition resulting from an extreme immune response to infection, leading to organ dysfunction and high mortality rates. Early identification and timely intervention are crucial for improving patient outcomes. This review explores evidence-based strategies in sepsis management, including early recognition, fluid resuscitation, antimicrobial therapy, hemodynamic support, and nursing interventions. The role of a multidisciplinary healthcare team in sepsis care is also highlighted, emphasizing the importance of adherence to international guidelines such as the Surviving Sepsis Campaign. Strengthening nursing protocols and adopting advanced monitoring techniques can significantly reduce sepsis-related morbidity and mortality.

Introduction: In nursing education, students are emboldened to identify their own learning needs in their journey of studying the course, evaluate self-motivation in acquiring new information, and process learning outcomes. This study determines the SDLR in terms of self-management, desire for learning, and self-control domains among nursing students at King Khalid University (KKU) Saudi Arabia. It includes female students enrolled in lower years. Materials and Methods: Descriptive-correlational methods were used to investigate the research. Frequencies, percentages, mean, and standard deviation were employed to measure and examine values using IBM SPSS statistics version 25. Fisher's exact test (FET) was utilized to explore the probability of associations between the participants' demographics and SDLR scales. The Spearman rho (rs) correlation coefficient was applied to analyze the strength of association between variables. The Cronbach's alpha (α) reliability coefficient for the translated tool was .829. Results: The respondents strongly agree they can be trusted to pursue their learning, being confident in their ability to search out information, and being disciplined. Wanting to learn new and enjoy and learn from their mistakes predominates their responses. In self-control, the respondents strongly agree they can find information, make their own decisions, and are responsible for their own decisions/actions. Age in years is statistically significant to the self-directed learning readiness scale. The variable on self-management vs. self-control shows a very high positive correlation. Conclusion: The self-directed learning readiness scale of students unequivocally places them to respond positively and develop more knowledge and skills embedded in the institution.
