Website Characterization and Evaluation of the Five Star Hotels in Saudi Arabia Using Advanced Content Analysis and eMICA Framework

This study analyzed the features offered by the websites of the premium and luxury 42 five star hotels in Saudi Arabia on six regions namely Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah, Abha and Jazan Regions of Saudi Arabia during 2018-19. The study evaluated the hotel websites under study based on eMICA stages of promotion, provision, and processing and also grouped in seven dimensions determined by the advanced content analysis. The study also provided insight into hotel websites characterization framework for consumer’s information needs on nine parameters as well. It was established from the findings of the study that Saudi Arabian five star hotel websites were yet to utilize the potentiality of their website as a tool for marketing hotel product and services. The aggregate average value of 9 functionality dimensions in this regard was only 36.2 per cent. This is further highlighted with their poor score in reservation functions (2.4%), website functionality (18.8%) and product information (35.9 %). The study found that the development of the most of the hotel websites we studied fell into the second stage of eMICA model, with the exception of Jazan and Abha regions hotels websites, which were in the first stage of development. The study findings hope to aid web marketing of five star hotels for providing the new age customer digital experience for the e-visitors of Saudi Arabian five star premium and luxury hotels.

Institutional Performance Assessment of Water Supply System

Most of the water supply systems are managed by water supply users committee. The large numbers of water supply system are not functioning. Dhankuta 7, 8, 9 water supply system was constructed in 1993 and then after it was being operated by Water Supply Users Committee. The water supply system was running 23 years. The performance of the water supply system is under questions. The overall objective of the study was to assess the institutional Performance of Dhankuta 7,8,9 Water Supply System with implementation status of water safety plan. The stratified random sampling method was applied for sampling based on cocharent sampling method. The questionnaire survey focus group discussion, key informant interview, field observation were done to gather primary data as well as published report, journals, research paper, article, progress report were reviewed for secondary data. The institutional performance was analyzed through analysis of functionality index, institutional setup, staff productivity index, capacity of WSUC member and staff separately and the implementation status of water safety plan. Regarding to institutional performance the result shows that the functionality index is 70%, staff productivity index is 36.53, the individual capacity of WSUC member obtain 8 in institutional management, 7 in both technical knowledge and financial management out of 10. The implementation status of water safety plan shows that it is functioning partially and the consumers are conscious about water quality and more than 50% prefer boiling before drinking water. It should be enhanced the capacity of WSUC members and staff.

The issue of atypical situations is a management challenge in the globalized economic activity today. There are no economies in the world that are facing atypical situations, and their approach in the context of information system is a way of studying their behavior and possibility of settlement with the expected effects. The author as result from more research suggested that factors creating atypical situations macroeconomic have an established behavior with a positive impact of atypical situations arise where strategic development and also identified how efficient management by basing new management concept of atypical situations. In this context the author develops research and assesses the information system as a factor in solving atypical situations.

Impact of Financial Sector Reforms on Farmers Access to Agricultural Credit in Nigeria, 1981 - 2016

The study examined the impact of financial sector reforms on farmer’s access to agricultural loan in Nigeria. The specific objectives were to; compare the volume of loan accessed by the different agricultural subsectors in the different reform era, estimate the determinants of farmers access to agricultural loan, and determine the effect of the different financial sector reform overtime on farmers’ access to loan. Data for the study were obtained from CBN Statistical bulletin, CBN annual report, federal budget allocation report, annual reports and used for the study. Data obtained were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that there was a significant difference in volume of loan accessed by the agricultural subsector. Results of the determinants of farmers’ access to agricultural loan revealed that, savings mobilized by financial institution, government budget allocation to agriculture and credits to private sector were the significant determinants of farmer’s access to agricultural loan. The study also revealed that financial sector regime era had a significant effect on farmers’ access to loan.

Is Foreign Direct Investment Inflow Market Seeking in Nigeria? An Error Correction Model Approach

The aim of this study is to examine the critical macroeconomic variables that determine the inflows of FDI in Nigeria over the period of 1990 to 2017 which past studies have not fully explored. Consequently, the study utilized data from UNCTAD World Bank database and CBN Statistical Bulletin and error correction model was used to address the objective of this study. However, the following are the crucial findings that originated from this study. The following are the crucial findings that the study discovered. The error correction term indicates that about 22% of total disequilibrium due to external shock in the previous year is corrected in the current year. The principal driver of FDI inflows in Nigeria is growth rate of the economy. While, market size only caused an insignificant FDI inflow in the short run. Therefore, FDI inflow in Nigeria is not market seeking. Furthermore, based on these findings, this study makes the following recommendations for the policy makers in Nigeria. The policy makers should embark on holistic approach that has the capacity to expand the country`s market size and ensure a double-digit growth rate of the economy. In the same vein, the policy measures that would guarantee sustainability of the FDI inflows through market size and growth rate of economy in the long run should be put in place by the policy makers in Nigeria.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of hotel and restaurant taxes and hotel and restaurant tax increase
strategies. The research method used a survey method. The population was 341 taxpayers with a sample of 103 taxpayers
in Tasikmalaya City. The analytical tool used is effectiveness analysis and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the
effectiveness of hotel and restaurant tax included in the criteria is very effective. Meanwhile, to increase hotel and
restaurant tax strategy that includes improving human resources, system improvements and improvements in determining
the hotel and restaurant tax revenue targets.

The present study seeks to examine the impact of customer relationship management (CRM) and organizational learning capabilities (OLC) on the financial performance of the company that produces products of Cinere plant origin. To measure organizational learning capabilities and measure customer relationship management used of the standard questionnaires formats. The research questionnaire was distributed among 90 individuals of the statistical community that was all the directors and employees of Cinere Company and were randomly studied. The research method was descriptive correlational. In order to answer the questions and investigate the research hypotheses with smart-PLS terminals, the method of studying structural equations and path analysis using partial least squares method (PLS) was used. The results showed that organizational learning capabilities and its dimensions have a positive and significant effect on customer relationship management and company financial performance. On the other hand, the research results do not confirm the significant effect of customer relationship management and its dimensions on financial performance of the company.

Samples were 30 people with porposional techniques. Determinants of the Customer Satisfaction in Motor Insurance

Motor insurance has become as an essential aspect of the daily life playing a significant role in providing the cover mainly to the road vehicles and third party lives and property against accidental damage and many other perils including the natural disasters. Not like in other commercial contracts for the tangible products, the insured has no opportunity to examine the product prior to purchase. Accordingly, the customers get experience about the service provider after purchasing the product. At present, there are 28 insurance companies operating in Sri Lanka and out of which, fifteen companies offer the covers for the motor vehicle. Insurance companies make huge efforts to attract new customers and to retain the existing customers with them, as they experience switching the motor policy holders to competitors at the renewal due to many reasons. Accordingly, long term retention of motor policy holders by the insurers is a significant issue in the motor insurance industry in Sri Lanka. The problem of this study include “How the key determinants of service quality affect towards the customer satisfaction and whether there is effect of customer satisfaction on behavioral intention to retain with reference to motor insurance policy holders in insurance companies in Sri Lanka”. The population of this study were the motor insurance policy holders in the Western Province and the sample consisted with 125 motor policy holders selected through random sampling technique. Self-administered structured questionnaire was used to collect the primary data and the data was analyzed using Minitab software and the SPSS software packages to examine the customers’ attitudes towards the existing situation of the service quality of the motor insurers and to examine the customer satisfaction and intention behavior to retain with existing company. The survival of banking industry is tied to their ability to use information and communication technology facilities to enhance their operational efficiency. Thus, banks are expected to strategically improve on the quality of services provided to their customers in order to remain relevant in a competitive environment. This paper assesses the impact of ICT innovation on service quality. The study made use of both primary and secondary data instruments for data gathering, questionnaires were used for gathering primary data and data from internet, journal were means of secondary data collection. Four hundred (400) banks’ customers were served with questionnaire, out of which only 360 were returned. SPSS version 20 and Regression were used in testing the hypothesis. The result revealed that ICT innovation has a positive impact on Assurance, responsiveness and tangibility, while it has a negative impact on empathy and reliability. It is recommended that banks should ensure that all staff are trained to be more innovative to be able to deliver superior services.

The general aim of this research work is to examine “the ways of empowering the uneducated youths in Nigeria through Small and Medium Scale Enterprise: A Study of Ezeagu Local Government Area, Enugu State”. The specific objectives of this research work include the following: to identify the number of SME formed by uneducated youths in Ezeagu LGA, to examine the roles of small and medium scale enterprises in youth empowerment in Enugu State.For a successful completion of this research work, the researcher made use of both primary and secondary methods of data collection for information gathering. The population of the study was 1308 while the sample size of 306 was gotten through Taro Yamene formula. The data collected were presented in tables and analyzed with simple percentage while the hypotheses stated were tested with chi square. The findings made includes: the roles of small and medium scale enterprises in youth empowerment in Enugu State are entrepreneurship promotion, provision of employment opportunities, mobilization of savings and financial resources for productive enterprise activitiesand equitable growth across regions and between men and women, the contributions of government in SME development are provision of infrastructural development, promotion of small and medium scale enterprises through its policies, provision of capital and loans to small and medium scale business owners andprovision of skill acquisition centers in diverse areas.In conclusion, capital formation has affected the role of small and medium scale enterprises in youth empowerment in Enugu State to a very great extent, the challenges militating against the efforts of small and medium scale enterprises in youth empowerment in Enugu State are financial problems, management problems, infrastructure problems and socio cultural problems.
