Complications of SME Sector Due to the Outbreak of COVID-19 and Projections on it: A Study on Cumilla District

Most of the economic sectors of the world are affected by the unembellished outspread of Covid-19. The economy of Bangladesh could not go beyond its adverse effect. This study tries to determine the complications of the SME sector of Cumilla district due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic situation and to indicate some strategic choices to adapt to the hostile Covid-19 situation. Setting three possible strategies of the SMEs to adapt adverse Covid-19 conditions, the binary logistic model is used in this study and found that asset level and labor force management have a significant impact on the decision making of the SMEs. Kendall’s W shows that ‘a decrease in revenue earnings’ is the most pressing constraint faced by the SMEs during the period. To survive in the market, individual attempts of the SMEs may not be fruitful at all, stakeholders should come forward soon.

This study aims to determine and analyze the effects of leadership and organizational culture on employee performance and customer satisfaction variables as an intervening at PT. Sukaputra Graha Cemerlang Sentul City. Quantitative descriptive method with a causal relationship approach is the method used in this study. The population selected in this study were all employees of PT. Sukaputra Graha Cemerlang in Sentul City with a population of 217 people. Of all the population samples taken based on the Slovin formula are 141 samples. Data analysis using Structural Equation Model (SEM) with SmartPLS (Partial Least Square) 3.0. The results showed that leadership style had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, organizational culture had a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction, leadership style and organizational culture had a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on performance. employees of PT. Sukaputra Graha Cemerlang in Sentul City. Customer satisfaction can mediate the influence between leadership style and organizational culture with the performance of employees of PT. Sukaputra Graha Cemerlang in Sentul City.

employee performance with work motivation as a mediating variable for PT Panggung Jaya Indah employees. Quantitative research method with an associative approach was used as research method. All of permanent employees of PT Panggung Jaya Indah were used as a population. Based on the structural equation modeling or SEM model, this research sample was using 235 permanent employees with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The research data was collected through the dissemination of questionnaires. The analytical techniques using Partial Least Square or PLS. The results showed that job insecurity has negative and significant effect on work motivation and employee performance. Otherwise, Covid-19 health protocols and compensation have positive and significant impact on work motivation and employee performance.

This research aims to find out what economic sectors have the potential to be prioritized for development in Tasikmalaya City. This research uses descriptive and quantitative analysis. While the quantitative analysis used the Location Quotient (LQ) Model, Growth Ratio Model (MRP), and Overlay Analysis. should be a development priority by the local government of Tasikmalaya City, which is expected to increase the rate of regional economic growth in Tasikmalaya City.

Knowledge Core Competence Strategy and Performance of Deposit Money Banks in Rivers State, Nigeria

This paper examines the relationship between knowledge core competence strategy and performance of Deposit Money Banks in Rivers State, Nigeria. The research design adopted was survey research design through cross sectional design that examined how knowledge core competence strategy enhanced the performance of Deposit Money Banks in Rivers State, Nigeria. The population consisted of seventeen (17) regional Deposit Money Banks in Rivers State, Nigeria. The sample size of one hundred and seventy (170) was determined from the seventeen Regional Deposit Money Banks in Rivers State, Nigeria. This comprises of one (1) top manager, five (5) middle managers, and ten (10) lower managers. One hundred and seventy questionnaire were distributed, while hundred and thirty were retrieved and used for the analysis dues to some irregularities in answering the questions. The collected data was analyzed using the Spearman’s Rank Order Correlation Coefficient with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) within a significance level of 0.05. The findings showed that there is a strong positive relationship between knowledge core competence strategy and performance of Deposit Money Banks in Rivers State, Nigeria. We therefore recommended that Deposit Money Banks in Rivers should implement adequate measures of knowledge core competences which includes; organizational area of interest, skill performance, technology, human capacity or know how that will enhance customers satisfaction and increase patronage of Deposit Money Banks in Rivers State, Nigeria.
