With the advent of the digital intelligence empowerment, the demand for English majors has undergone profound changes in the new era. Traditional single-skill language training no longer meets the demands of “New Liberal Arts” education, making the integration of “humanistic literacy, digital proficiency, and innovative thinking” essential for cultivating interdisciplinary talent. Against this backdrop, Chinese colleges and universities urgently need to cultivate new interdisciplinary talents that meet the demands of the times. This paper focuses on the teaching philosophy and course objectives of Advanced English I under the context of digital intelligence empowerment, and explores the teaching design process of smart classrooms based on the Taba model. By integrating digital technology and intelligent tools, the course content and resources are optimized, aiming to construct a “personalized” learning path for every student. This reform exploration promotes the transition from “knowledge assessment” to “competency mapping” and the transformation from “instrumental English” to “value-based English”, nurturing future-ready foreign language professionals.

Elegy is a prominent and important topic of Arabic poetry in Nigeria, as through it the poet can express his feelings and pain he suffers due to the magnitude of the calamity resulting from the loss of a loved one who has a high status in the hearts of the people, despite all this, the elegy of women, whether a wife, daughter or sister, was very little and rare among Nigerian poets. Perhaps the reason for this is what critics have said, that the most difficult elegy for a poet is to eulogize a child or a woman, due to the narrowness of speech and the scarcity of attributes. This may lead to the failure of the poet, especially in the eulogy, which is a reminder of the tragedy and praise of the virtues of the deceased, and mentioning and enumerating his good qualities. This has led poets to abandon this type of elegy, except for a few of them. Among the contemporary Nigerian poets who practiced the elegy of women, despite the difficulty involved, is the poet Muhammad Nazir bin Muhammad Al-Qaurawi. This article aims to conduct an analytical literary study of the poet’s poem “Al-Hamziyah” in which he mourned his sister, with the aim of discovering the poem’s artistic values and highlighting the poet’s emotional quality in it. The article will focus on addressing this problem using the analytical method, relying on the following elements: a brief overview of the poet - presentation of the poem - structure of the poem and the poet’s emotional quality in it - the most important ideas contained in the poem - elements of elegy in the poem - artistic values in the poem - artistic evaluation of the poem - conclusion - list of references.
This study aims to apply Behaviorist Theory to the analysis of language errors made by Hausa students learning Arabic. Although language teaching and learning have long been subjects of interest, they often lack a scientific framework grounded in applied linguistics. Over time, several theories have emerged to explain how language is acquired, among which the Behaviorist Theory remains one of the most prominent. Drawing on their teaching experience, the researchers observe that this theory can significantly enhance both language teaching and learning processes. The relevance of this study lies in the continued scarcity of applied linguistic data concerning second language acquisition, particularly among Hausa learners. This research adopts a descriptive-analytical approach to explore the types and causes of errors. The findings indicate that the language errors made by Hausa students in learning Arabic include spelling, morphological, and grammatical mistakes - with spelling errors being the most prevalent and obstructive. The study suggests that these errors can be effectively addressed within the framework of Behaviorist Theory.

In order to effectively address the long-standing issue of Chinese Cultural Aphasia among English learners in China, this paper builds a “Three Inclusions” model of the Integrated English Course for undergraduate English majors under the guidance of POA theory. Taking Xi Jinping: The Governance of China as a starting point and POA theory as a guide, the paper redesigns the Integrated English Course across the board to achieve multi-dimensional integrated teaching path that combines concepts, textbooks, strategies, and evaluation. The whole teaching design can make up for the lack of discussion on Chinese culture and social reality in English teaching, strengthening the national conditions awareness of English major students, and enhancing their ability to tell China's stories well and spread China's voice well. Finally, "Equal Opportunity, Our National Myth" written by Joseph Stiglitz is selected for case study to demonstrate the specific implementation path for POA’s three phases of motivating, enabling and assessing.
