Abstract
Islamic political thought has remained the most contentious subject from the 7th century C.E. of Islamic civilisation. The thought witnessed the diverse interpretations throughout the ages. During Medieval Islamic history hereditary succession, decline in spirituality, and alien influences in socio-political thought and cultural affairs of Muslims obliged Muslim political thinkers to come forward in order to present an appropriate political thought of Islam in their respective ages, so that the legacy of Islam would be maintained.
