Abstract
This paper looks at the family from a Christian perspective within the
contemporary society. Beginning with the biblical design of marriage, the author uses
descriptive research design to discuss what the family is, describe what Christian
marriage is and its purpose. She also examines the teaching of the Bible concerning
marriage, the roles and responsibilities of both the husband and wife, the relationship
between children and parents, and parents as role models in the home.
