Abstract
Art elective course combinations offered in Senior High Schools hinder Art students from offering some Art program at the Tertiary level. The need therefore to assess Art and allied programs offered at the tertiary level. A mixed method approach involving qualitative and quantitative research strategies was adopted for the study. The study revealed that visual art students are limited in offering some courses at the tertiary institutions as most visual art students have no idea of the program they want to study in the tertiary level of education. The study, therefore recommends to stakeholders to ensure that orientations and seminars are conducted in pre-SHS and SHS to help students to choose relevant courses to be offered at the tertiary level.
