Abstract
This study adopts an ecolinguistic framework to compare conceptual metaphors in Sino-US environmental news discourses. It explores the distributional features, ecological orientations and underlying cultural and institutional causes of cross-border metaphor differences. The results reveal distinct cognitive tendencies between the two countries’ environmental narratives, providing practical implications for ecological discourse construction and cross-national environmental communication.
